Survey Design & Fieldwork
We develop valid and reliable measurement instruments tailored to your research questions and deliver end-to-end services from sampling strategy to field management.
A good survey measures exactly what it is meant to measure. The process starts with scale development or adaptation, pre-testing and validity–reliability studies, and continues with probability sampling design, field coordination and data quality control. Alongside face-to-face (CAPI), telephone (CATI) and online methods, we use digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox and ODK.
Who is it for?
- Public institutions and municipalities planning field research
- Project teams that need baseline and endline studies
- Organisations measuring satisfaction or perception
- Research units that need to develop a validated scale
Questions it answers
- How should a representative sample of the target group be drawn?
- Does the instrument measure the intended construct validly and reliably?
- Which data collection mode (face-to-face, telephone, online) fits best?
- How is the quality of field data assured?
- 01
Scoping & Question Definition
Evaluation questions are defined together with stakeholders, building on the existing evidence base. Purpose, users and context are clarified.
- 02
Design & Methodology
The mixed-methods design best suited to the research question is selected. Sampling, data collection instruments and the analysis plan are developed.
- 03
Data Collection
Data is gathered from multiple sources such as surveys, interviews, focus groups and administrative records. Data quality is monitored in real time.
- 04
Analysis & Validation
Quantitative and qualitative findings are integrated; internal consistency and reliability are tested. Preliminary findings are validated with stakeholders.
- 05
Reporting & Recommendations
Concise, action-oriented reports and policy recommendations are delivered to decision-makers, together with a mechanism to monitor implementation.
